More Blendabilities

I am still having lots of fun with my new SU! Blendabilities.  My DH needed a sympathy card the other day and I had seen this idea on Pinterest several times.  It must have been a challenge somewhere but I don't know where and I saw lots of ideas with this layout.  I liked the simplicity of it especially for a sympathy card.  So here's my take on it:

I have a circle template I made and use to get the circle woodgrain.  Just lay the template down and stamp.  I made my template 4-1/4 by 5-1/2 so it covers the whole card.  I stamped the butterfly and colored with Blendabilities then punched it out with the butterfly punch.  The saying is from a retired set.  I keep all my sympathy sets as they are few and far between :).  The little circles of sorts you see are some flat glittery circles I have had in my stash forever.  With gold coming back in, I'll sure to be using these lots in the future.

Koala

I have been doing lots of coloring with Blendabilities lately, getting ready for my class.  Have I told you how much I LOVE them.  I've always liked to color, but simply had not found the right medium for me until now.  This is a card I made with the new Koala bear single stamp.  It's perfect for coloring and not too detailed either, which makes for a good beginner one with Blendabilities.

Sorry for the poor quality in my photography.  I need to brush up on that a lot - out of practice!

Anyway, this is a start.

OK, so this is just a post to see if I know how to post a pic!!

OK, so it looks like I can figure it out.  This is our granddaughter and it was taken when they were here to visit last Christmas (well after Christmas actually).  It was a little chilly that day but she had lots of fun picking up rocks!!  I miss her soooo much but will get to see her soon for her birthday!!

Thanks for putting up with me.  I have lots of new cards and ideas to show you but I need to do lots of photo taking before I can do it.  It will be soon!

Welcome - Same Name - New Blog

Welcome to my new blog!  After taking some time off I decided I really wanted to continue blogging for all my wonderful papercrafting friends!!  But.....my other blog was rather costly and really I did not use all of the bells and whistles offered me.  So....here I am on Google's Blogger.  I hope you'll hang in with me as I learn how to navigate and do the things I need to.

You will notice I have an email address attached to my blog that you may not be familiar with.  Do you see it?  (upper right hand corner) Anyway, for all my faithful customers you may continue to use my email you have for me.  I am just required to have a Google email for blogger.  And...I don't want to add another email so continue to use the one I have had for years!!!  I will, however, periodically check this email in case you choose that one!  I sure hope this makes sense to you, but if you have any questions, just shoot me an email.

Ok, enough techie stuff!  I just returned from a wonderful vacation in Jackson Hole, WY, visiting the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park.  We had the best time ever!  I spent weeks planning our itinerary and I was thrilled everything turned out as expected!  And, it ended in Salt Lake City with the annual Stampin'Up! Convention.  Once I get settled in and a little caught up I'll post pics for you.

I need to get my photos uploaded to my computer.  So I'll be back in a few days!
